The majority of the archival manuscript collections pertaining to early American history are cataloged and keyword searchable in the Library’s Finding Aids.

In addition, hundreds of individual bound manuscripts are cataloged in the Library’s Main Catalog.

Photographs

The Western Americana Collection in the Princeton University Digital Library consists of nearly 7,000 digitized photographs of Indians of the Americas and views of the American West, including landscapes, cityscapes, and mining,railroad, and agricultural operations. Also included are views of towns in Mexico. The bulk of the photographs date from the 19th century. The collection can be accessed at Western Americana Digital Collection.
